What if technology could be reimagined as something magical, generous, and community-centered? Join artist Rajni Perera for Magical Technology Design for a Kinder Future, an imaginative two-hour workshop for all ages. Participants will explore examples of fictional technological design, such as time machines, interplanetary spaceships, and sealed biomes on distant planets, and use them as inspiration to invent new forms of “magical technology.” 
 
Through drawing, discussion, and collaborative ideation, we’ll dream up tools, systems, and devices designed to support the communities we come from, or others in need of magical technological intervention. Along the way, we may consider and reassess what the word technology means.  

No prior experience is needed, just bring your curiosity.
