Join artist Patrick Lundeen in the Painting Studio at Thompson Rivers University for a lively conversation about his exhibition, Bluto’s Cave: Allegory of the Man Cave, on now at the Kamloops Art Gallery, and insights into his object-based art practice.
Patrick Lundeen was born in Lethbridge, Alberta (Siksikaitsitapi [Blackfoot Confederacy] territory). He currently lives and works in Kelowna, BC (unceded Okanagan Syilx territory) where he teaches drawing, painting, and sculpture at UBC Okanagan. His interdisciplinary artistic practice includes explorations of sound, video, music, food, performance, and public art. Lundeen’s visual strategies employ humour, sensory experience, and a rough and visceral aesthetic as a means to unpack social and political contexts.
His exhibition, Bluto’s Cave: Allegory of the Man Cave, curated by Craig Willms, continues in The Cube until April 6, 2024.
This program is offered in collaboration with Thompson Rivers University Department of Communication and Visual Arts.
