Join Kamloops Art Gallery educators for an interactive walking tour of the exhibition Luminocity, and engage in lively explorations of some of the relevant themes.
Every two years Luminocity presents a selection of artworks that respond to the current state of the world through diverse artistic perspectives. With each iteration, the global context seems to be increasingly in flux with systems of power entrenching and the environmental emergency becoming ever harder to ignore. Viewed outdoors, at night, during the shortest days of the year, Luminocity lets in the light, offering insight into the world around us through artworks that open up networks of cultural exchange and transport us to other realms.
We will meet at the Rotary Bandshell in Riverside Park, the tour will begin promptly at 7:00pm and will be approximately 90 minutes in duration.
Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and water are recommended.
This program is offered in collaboration with the Kamloops Adult Learners’ Society (KALS). You must be a member of KALS to participate.
Registration is available online at kals.ca/registration/.
