Join us in our studios for a presentation by local artist Charlie Napcolors!
In their talk, multidisciplinary artist Charlie Napcolors will provide insight into their current exhibition at the Kamloops Arts Council, NAPCOLORS: An Art Exhibition. In this inaugural solo exhibition, they are showcasing artworks made in the last three years that bring together various projects, including INTO illustrations, Circle Stories paintings, as well as works from their ongoing comics. In their artist talk Napcolors will provide background on their artistic practice, share thoughts on their use of mark-making, personal anecdotes, their inspirations, and the use of recurring figures in their work.
Artist Bio
Charlie Napcolors is a multidisciplinary artist who uses painting, animation, and comics to explore personal and collective narratives. Through the integration of their innately human mark-making and the intimate voice of their own experience, Napcolors creates stories that feel like memories. In early 2026, their animation titled Into the Snow won second place in the Amateur category at the Kamloops Independent Short Shorts festival. Napcolors maintains an active practice in Tk’emlúps and they exhibit their work in galleries across British Columbia. Napcolors graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Thompson Rivers University in 2025.
