The Black Canvas is an exhibition celebrating 30 years of Black History Month in Canada. Featuring art, stories, and cultural expressions, the exhibition highlights the creativity, resilience, and brilliance of Black voices across generations.
Aligned with the 2026 theme, Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations, the exhibition invites audiences to celebrate, reflect, and connect with the rich history and vibrant culture of the Black community in Kamloops and beyond.
This exhibition is organized by the Caribbean Diaspora Society of Kamloops, with support from Thompson Rivers University, TRUSU Afro Caribbean Student Association, Unique Get Together Society and the Kamloops Art Gallery.
