The Black Canvas is an exhibition celebrating 30 years of Black History Month in Canada. Featuring art, stories, and cultural expressions, the exhibition highlights the creativity, resilience, and brilliance of Black voices across generations. 

The School Programs Fundraising Initiative, launched in the winter of 2026, is an effort by the Gallery to support art education opportunities for elementary school children. The Women’s Art Initiative, launched in the fall of 2022, is an effort by the Gallery to bring together women who are invested in amplifying the work of women and under-represented artists through exhibitions, programs, collection-building acquisitions, publications, and research.
