Join us for fun-filled weeks of art making and exploration at the Kamloops Art Gallery!

Through experiences in our galleries with summer exhibitions echoes and In the Paint, field trips in the community, and adventures in our studios, young artists will discover new ways to share their stories. Each week will offer opportunities to learn through play and create artworks of all sizes. We will be making books, costumes, drawings, sculptures, paintings, prints, and more!

Our programs provide participants with the opportunity to create art in a safe, encouraging, student-led space with a focus on process-based learning.

March 20 to 24 // March 27 to 31

We offer day camps throughout the year on non-instructional days; each one is unique and connected to the current exhibition.

In our week-long Spring Break Camps, young artists will explore artworks by Paul Walde through interactive tours and activities in the Gallery, as well as studio workshops exploring materials and themes from the exhibition.

This summer, we have developed three thematic programs for children aged 5 to 12 designed to engage young artists with ideas, materials, and techniques from our summer exhibition, Reading the Land. Through experimentation in our studios, field trips in the community, and daily explorations of the exhibition spaces, participants will develop their confidence and skills as young artists.

Our winter exhibition, Kelly Richardson: Halcyon Fog, will guide our adventures as we think through big ideas like climate change, activism, and the science of trees, water, and fungi. Throughout the week, we will be artists, scientists, and futurists – using what we learn to imagine possible future landscapes.
