Our programs and events offer opportunities for people of all ages to learn how art connects us with our daily lives. Focusing on the KAG’s current exhibitions, programs include art camps, interactive tours, activities and workshops that encourage self-expression and experimentation while learning about art techniques, basic design concepts and a variety of media. Our events include exhibition opening receptions, fundraisers to inspire you and special happenings in the Gallery Store.

$240 per week // $216 for members

Join us for fun-filled weeks of art making and exploration at the Kamloops Art Gallery!

Through experiences in our galleries with summer exhibitions echoes and In the Paint, field trips in the community, and adventures in our studios, young artists will discover new ways to share their stories. Each week will offer opportunities to learn through play and create artworks of all sizes. We will be making books, costumes, drawings, sculptures, paintings, prints, and more!

Our programs provide participants with the opportunity to create art in a safe, encouraging, student-led space with a focus on process-based learning.

This summer, we have developed three thematic programs for children aged 5 to 12 designed to engage young artists with ideas, materials, and techniques from our summer exhibition, Reading the Land. Through experimentation in our studios, field trips in the community, and daily explorations of the exhibition spaces, participants will develop their confidence and skills as young artists.
