Come and join the determined and dedicated young artists of a new era pushing light, colour, and shadows with pen and ink, acrylic painting, silkscreen printing, lino cut printmaking, black and white film photography, mural painting, and more!

Fight the evil of small-town boredom and melancholy with other creative people (and one goat), in this ongoing workshop series with KAG Youth Programs Coordinator Chris Bose.

The Fierce Shadow Unicorn Masterminds Artists Collective, while being an extremely long name is also going to be an extremely long artist workshop series as we enter our 3rd year!

What started out as a rag tag team of university students, youth, and young adults has morphed into a solid team of dedicated artists open to new and exciting ways to create art, and looking to welcome new members! This year will feature more guided workshops and community exploration in our endless quest for creative inspiration. We’ll also have an exhibition at the end the series in the spring of 2023 where we can share our creative experiences with the community, friends, and family.

So, come, join the Unicorns and have fun, learn new skills and make all kinds of wild art, while meeting new friends and collaborating in a safe, welcoming environment at the Kamloops Art Gallery!

Open to folks aged 16 to 26 (there is some wiggle room, ask for Chris!). We supply the materials and you supply the ideas and vision for the workshops and yearly exhibition on the Open Gallery!
