Join us in celebrating Black History Month 2026 with The Black Canvas, an exhibition commemorating 30 years of Black History Month in Canada. This exhibition features art, stories, and cultural expressions that highlight the creativity, resilience, and brilliance of Black voices across generations.
Aligned with the 2026 theme, Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations, the exhibition invites audiences to celebrate, reflect, and connect with the rich history and vibrant culture of the Black community in Kamloops and beyond.
The opening reception at the TRU Art Gallery on February 7 will feature artist talks, live performances, complimentary food, and opportunities for community gathering and celebration.
Everybody is welcome!
