Thursday, November 5
6:00 to 8:00 pm
Adults, 19+

The Caribbean Diaspora Society of Kamloops and the Kamloops Art Gallery invite you to an evening of creativity, cultural expression, and community connection to celebrate Black history and culture in Kamloops.

This gathering is the first in a series of events that seek to build connection and community while contributing to a living archive of Black experience in Kamloops. The outcomes of these gatherings  will be shared in an exhibition on our Open Gallery in March 2027. Participants can simply enjoy the evening and/or create artwork and share their stories.

Those who would like to contribute to the developing exhibition will have the opportunity to share their artwork and  contribute to a video archive through a casual interview session.

All adults in the Black community are welcome to come out, express themselves, and be part of celebrating our shared history.

Come celebrate our culture, honour our history, and create a lasting legacy for future generations.
