6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
2SLGBTQPIA+ folx, ages 15+

This orientation is for queer artists interested in taking part in “Queer Futurism” a FREE studio program and exhibition opportunity. Join us at the KAG Studios for a friendly,
low-pressure gathering. Meet the facilitator Teresa
Donck-Matlock, other local queer artists, and learn about
the opportunity.

About Queer Futurism:
Queer Futurism is a 6-week, self-directed program exploring the topic of Queer Futurism. During weekly group studio sessions, throughout November and December, we will engage in discussions and art exercises, ponder queer joys, struggles, and hopes as we imagine the future of queer folx together.

Each participant will develop and create their own artwork which will be included in a group exhibition on the Open Gallery in June and July, 2026. This is an opportunity to develop your artistic practice in a queer space, explore a theme meaningful to the queer community, and be part of an exhibition.

Come as you are. Bring your questions and curiosities and learn what the KAG studios has to offer. After orientation, there will be an opportunity to register for Queer Futurism Studio, but no obligation to do so.

Presented in partnership with Kamloops Pride.
