We are excited to collaborate with the Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc Language and Culture Department to offer this programming inspired by the inter-cultural dialogue, relationality, reciprocity, and care in Ithin-eh-wuk—we place ourselves at the centre: James Nicholas and Sandra Semchuk.
Spend a part of your Saturday or Sunday learning the traditional skill of making a k̓éme te mim̓c (pine needle basket) and try out a few Secwepemctsín words. You are welcome to stay for half the time, or stay the whole time, we are happy to provide a respectful and relaxed learning and socializing space.
No previous experience is necessary, all materials are provided.
