Join artist Bree Apperley for a tour of her exhibition, Slug Eggs, and a hands-on workshop in our studios to learn how to create your very own Tabletop Garbage Sculpture!
Bring your small-sized recyclables, craft supplies, or even something you found on the street on your way over and we will hot glue, wire, or sticky tack things together to transform your throw-away junk into something intriguing or maybe even beautiful! We will explore shapes and materials together while discussing what makes an object worthless or worthy, why the work of some people's hands create more value than others, and other strategies for creatively re-using what is around us.
A selection of materials will be provided, but we also encourage you to bring your own to personalize your artwork.
