Beaver Exchange Passport Program

Saturday, December 20
12:00 pm to 3:00 pm
All ages
Free, drop-in

This family friendly event, co-hosted with the Kamloops Museum and Archives, is designed to spark creativity and offer playful, hands-on activities to learn more about our animal friend, the beaver.

Collect stamps for your Beaver Exchange Passport at both the KMA and the KAG for a chance to win a beaver-related prize. Submit your passport at either location—start and finish wherever you like.

At the Kamloops Art Gallery – In the Gallery, tour Maura Doyle’s exhibition Dear Universe and learn about her artistic approach to connecting us to beavers’ architectural and environmental ingenuity. In our studios, explore beaver-related art activities: draw a beaver, collage its natural habitat, and engage in beaver architecture by building a dam out of stamps and ink.

At the Kamloops Museum and Archives – View the impressive permanent taxidermy display to see a beaver up close, then Build-an-Edible-Dam from pretzels, candy rocks, and icing.

This program is designed for participants of all ages and abilities; children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. All materials will be provided.
