Collections Technician
Work with the Gallery this summer! We are seeking an enthusiastic young person to join our team as a Collections Technician from May 11 to August 28, 2026.
The Collections Technician will help organize, document, and care for the Gallery’s collection of more than 3,200 works of art. Reporting to the Collections Manager/Registrar, the Collections Technician will work directly with the Gallery’s extensive art collection. The Collections Technician will focus on completing object condition reports, collection inventories, updating catalogue records, and collection care.
This would be an interesting job for someone who enjoys the arts, museums, or library studies, loves to be organized, and thrives on working both with their hands and on computers. This temporary, full-time position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs programs, so you must satisfy all the following requirements:
be aged between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the job, May 11, 2026.
have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN); and
be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.
