Cave to Dream performance documentation, 2019
7 minutes, 24 seconds
Cave to Dream brings together speculative fiction, experimental cinema, ritual, magic, and live-performance storytelling. For her Cave to Dream installation at the Richmond Art Gallery in 2019, Cindy Mochizuki presented two live performances that activated the work. Four performers playing the traditional Akita Namahage led visitors through the installation to experience each story, offering different perspectives. As part of the offering, audience members received a seasonal bento at the end of the performance.
