Adults, Pay-What-You-Can
Witness, document, reflect. Practice using the medium of photography as an act of close looking, capturing, and storytelling.
We will begin with a tour of Ithin-eh-wuk—we place ourselves at the center: James Nicholas and Sandra Semchuk, followed by a photo walk from the Gallery and through Riverside Park. We will explore how to use photography as a form of attentive looking, and some techniques for expressive photography. Reflecting on our experience, we will end the session by creating a journal reflection or poem.
Bring your own digital camera or phone. No special photography equipment required. Instructions will be given for free third-party applications for both iOS and Android platforms.
Bring your own notebook, and phone or camera.
Meet at The Kamloops Art Gallery. Please dress for the weather.
