For Homeschoolers and Alternative Learners

New for 2019, we are delighted to offer monthly drop-in school programs for homeschoolers and alternative learners. Both of these programs are informed by the new BC Curriculum and encourage student-led, inquiry-based learning. Parents, guardians and younger siblings are welcome to join in, too!

Does your child enjoy teaching? Encourage them to sign up as a Special Helper! Every month, we invite one of our Special Helpers to join our instructor to assist in leading the group. Contact our School Programs Coordinator, Anyssa Fortie, for details // 250-377-2405 // afortie@kag.bc.ca. Please be sure to indicate which program your child is interested in when signing up. Special Helpers of all skill levels and abilities are welcome.

In April, May and June we explore our relationships to “things” and investigate how certain objects become special to us.

Join us in our studios for a lively student-centered adventure in art-making. Each month, our instructor will guide the group through an exploration of a new theme and technique using storytelling, music and mark-making and then give your young artists time and support to work on their own. Shortly before the end of class, we will all gather to share our artwork and talk about what we learned. All materials are provided. No registration required. Generously supported by the Jann LM Bailey Legacy Fund.
