The Kamloops Art Gallery is seeking a part-time Installation Assistant.

The Installation Assistant is required to assist with the de-installation and installation of exhibitions for approximately two (2) weeks (35 to 40 hours/week) every 3 to 4 months on average (early January, May, September, and October).

This position requires someone who is physically able to move pivoting and temporary walls, patch and paint walls, and move and pack/unpack crates. The successful candidate will have basic power tool and carpentry experience.

Candidates with an interest in moving and installing works of art, exhibition signage and labels, lighting, placement and hook up of audio-visual equipment, and framing/un-framing of works of art are also preferred.
